Happy Birthday, Ellen! Pink and daughter Willow send chat show host their well wishes with special video

Big smiles: Pink and daughter Willow recorded a birthday message for Ellen DeGeneres

A host of celebrity friends took the time to wish Ellen DeGeneres a happy birthday on Thursday. And one of the most special messages was in the form of a video, from singer Pink and her adorable daughter Willow Hart.
The 32-year-old, whose real name is Alecia Moore, filmed the segment at her home.

And she couldn’t wait to show off her eight month old daughter to Ellen and her audience. Standing in her back yard, Pink said: ‘Hi Ellen. I love you, I love you, I love you. Happy happy happy birthday.’
‘I wish you this year freedom, love, laughter, sleeping in late, getting lots of rest.’ She could then be seen heading to the door of her home and saying: ‘I want to show you a surprise. I have a surprise just because I love you. A very rare and special treat. Someone wants to say hello.’

Pink gestured to the camera to seemingly invite the audience inside and said: ‘Come on in’ in a whisper as she pushed the door open.
Little Willow was sat inside with her motocross racer father Carey Hart and Pink scooped her up after saying in a baby voice: ‘Say, “Hi Ellen, I was on your show last year.”’
The Raise Your Glass singer tried to get her daughter to look at the camera, and as she did this she joked: ‘I know, Daddy’s cuter.’

Eventually Willow spotted the camera and beamed from ear to ear, at which point Ellen’s audience could be heard oohing and ahing at how adorable the singer’s daughter is.
Pink signed off by waving and said: ‘Happy birthday, happy birthday.’
The video also showed a past moment of the two friends dancing together as Pink performed on Ellen’s show.
And she was just one of the celebrities helping the chat show host honour her 54th birthday.

Jimmy Kimmel co-hosted the special edition of the show, which saw Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy dish the dirt on the Golden Globes as she took to the sofa.
Ellen used her Twitter account to give thanks for the well wishes she received.
She wrote: ‘So many people made my birthday so special. Thank you @JimmyKimmel, @EarthWindFire, @MelissaMcOnline and everyone who made me a video!'
